Graduating from Lancaster University in 2005 in Theatre Studies and Classical Music, Rachel spent 5 years working as an educational theatre director and piano teacher.
In 2010 she moved on to the third sector, working with volunteers and charities, managing third sector projects and co-ordinating fundraising and celebration events.
She joined Harper Adams in February 2013 after a recent move to the area.
Rachel is responsible for the organisation and delivery of outreach events and sessions for underrepresented schools and pupils. Be it those living in disadvantaged areas, those who may be first generation to go to Higher Education, BAME, looked after children, care leavers or service children. The programme of events range from in school subject based sessions, general Information Advice and Guidance or sessions around finance and budgeting. Rachel also arranges visits to the campus, tailor made so that students get the best from the experience. She is passionate about breaking any barriers that might make accessing Higher Education difficult for some students and to open up new opportunities they may never have known were possible.
