Minor, Weir and Willis is one of the largest independent fresh produce businesses in the UK and Europe.  The Minor, Weir and Willis Scholarship is open to all 2nd year BSc students at 91Pro who are interested in pursuing a career in fresh produce.

A placement year with Minor, Weir and Willis must be suitable for your course area. Should you require further clarification please discuss with your Placement Manager.

The Scholarship

Minor, Weir and Willis may award one scholarship and, if awarded, the successful recipient will receive:

• a significant contribution towards their education of £4,500 in the year prior to placement
• Employment with Minor, Weir and Willis during their placement year, including a week working in Spain
• Subject to a review at the end of placement with Minor, Weir and Willis there may be an opportunity of further funding in the scholar’s final academic year

A condition of your scholarship is that you undertake your placement year with Minor, Weir and Willis.

The award will be paid in two equal parts; half to be paid in February 2025 and the remaining balance in May 2025

This is a competitive award which will be evaluated on merit of the submitted application, academic achievements to date and interview. The decision of the Minor, Weir and Willis Scholarship panel is FINAL.

The Minor, Weir and Willis Scholarship includes a placement, therefore you must submit your application via the Student Dashboard placement pages.  Paper copies will not be accepted.

Please note: you may only apply for a maximum of three placement based scholarships.
