The Latterfield Farming Scholarship is open to all 2nd year BSc or 1st year FdSc students studying at HAU who are interested in pursuing a career in dairy farming with Latterfield Farming.

Please note: a placement year with Latterfield Farming must be suitable for your course area.  Should you require further clarification please discuss with your Placement Manager.

The Scholarship

Cogent may award one scholarship and, if awarded, the successful recipient will receive:

• a significant contribution towards their education of £3,000 in the year prior to placement
• Employment with Latterfield Farming during their placement year
• Subject to a review at the end of placement with Latterfield Farming there may be an opportunity of further funding in the scholar’s final academic year

A condition of your scholarship is that you undertake your placement year with Latterfield Farming.

The award will be paid in two equal parts; half to be paid in February 2025 and the remaining balance in May 2025.

This is a competitive award which will be evaluated on merit of the submitted application, academic achievements to date and interview. The decision of the Latterfield Farming Scholarship panel is FINAL.

Deadline for Submission of Application: 12pm Noon Monday 18 November 2024

The Latterfield Farming Scholarship includes a placement, therefore you must submit your application via the Student Dashboard placement pages.  Paper copies will not be accepted.

Please note: you may only apply for a maximum of three placement based scholarships.
