Varley-Gradwell Travelling Fellowship in Insect Ecology. A poster advertising the Fellowship is attached along with further information on how to apply.
The Fellowships are awarded annually and provide funding of up to £2.5K. They enable scientists, at an early stage in their career, to travel to undertake specific pieces of research in the field of insect ecology.
Applicants are invited to put forward a research proposal, together with their curriculum vitae and letters of support, for consideration by the Board of Management. Successful applicants hold the title of Varley-Gradwell Fellow for one year, and receive financial support to enable the proposed work to be undertaken.
Preference is given to those in their early post-doctoral years, but strong applications from those at the post-graduate level have been successful in the past. The award is not available to fund undergraduates.
Funding normally allows only one or two fellowships per year to be awarded, but from time to time it may be possible to award a third fellowship.
